I have been working in various fields of medicine for more than 25 years now. However, the most fascinating experiences I have made were in the field of aesthetic plastic and reconstructive surgery. Obtaining the certificate of competence as a laser therapist in 2010 enabled me to manage a large laser clinic for two years, with the assistance of two specialist physicians.

The core priority in my work as a laser therapist are competence, seriousness, and professionalism. It is my experience that clients tend to shy away from laser therapy because of a fear of pain or high costs. I want to help eliminate these preconceptions and concerns.

Over many years I have been working with doctors from different specialties.

Since 2010, I have been continuously attending advanced training courses, day seminars, and workshops, all certified by official certificates. The following topics are covered:

• Fractional Laser – techniques, fields of application, contraindications, risks, side effects
• IPL / Intense Pulsed Light – vascular lesions and their treatment options, skin rejuvenation / photorejuvenation
• Permanent Hair Removal with Laser – in-depth theoretical and practical training
• Basic Laser Course SGML – course for certified Laser Safety Officer
• Laser Safety according to BGV B2 – effects and potential damage of laser radiation, safety measures, regulations and legal requirements

Certificate of Competence V-NISSG in:

• Laser Hair Removal
• Skin and Pigmentation Treatments

In Switzerland, as of June 1st, 2024, it is a federal requirement that laser practitioners hold a Certificate of Competence (V-NISSG) in order to perform treatments listed under the Ordinance on Non-Ionising Radiation and Sound Emission Devices (V-NISSG).

When used correctly, laser and IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments pose no risk to clients. However, professional handling and sound knowledge of laser and IPL technology are essential. To prevent risks and accidents, the federal government has made this certificate and the corresponding training mandatory throughout Switzerland.

After successfully completing this specialized training, I now hold the official Certificate of Competence V-NISSG for Laser and IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments.

This certification not only demonstrates my commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality, but also allows me to continue providing you with the best possible care and treatment.
